Disruption of Hospital Services Notification
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES:
When any of the following services are disrupted for any reason, the Director of Engineering or next senior person in the Engineering Department shall be notified immediately. If the interruption is the result of loss of utility service, notify the PBX Operator immediately, so that she/he can notify the appropriate utility company without delay.
If the interrupted service has been due to loss of electricity, the on-duty Engineering Department personnel shall, after notification to the PBX Operator, proceed immediately to the Emergency Generator to ensure that it and associated systems are operating satisfactorily. When system is satisfactorily operating, he/she shall then inform the Director of Engineering or next senior person in the Engineering Department should the director not be available.
