Radioactive Emergency Functions Provides:  Emergency Cart Medical Staff to each decontamination room for treatment and decontamination if possible (otherwise "house staff" trained to decontaminate) Clerk to "Buffer Zone" (if possible) ‑ otherwise Outpatient/Radiology Clerk Runner "Emergency Cart"/supplies Keep Emergency Department maintained Assign Nurse to Triage Prepare gurneys for littersCLINICAL RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT FUNCTIONS: Obtains and distributes Radiological monitoring equipment Assigns technician to Triage Team (if possible), otherwise, trained monitors from "House Staff" Radiologist in buffer zone to get data and determine Radiological Treatment ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES FUNCTIONS: Sets up Decontamination Area Provides "guards" at given areas Use to monitor/decontaminate if trained ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT FUNCTIONS: Obtains litters Monitor/decontaminate if needed Shuts down ventilation if necessary SECURITY SERVICES FUNCTIONS: Secures areas Limits contacts of contaminated persons/vehicles Cordon off area |
